Neighborhood Council Valley Village gained the support of Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council, Mid-Town North Hollywood Neighborhood Council and Studio City Neighborhood Council to purchase a Mobile Digital Sign.
The Wanco metro variable message sign and trailer, model WVTMM-M with the optional Data Collection/Traffic Counter, will be donated to the Los Angeles Police Department, North Hollywood Community Police Station for its dedicated use within its primary jurisdiction. The sign can notify drivers if they are exceeding the posted speed limit, notify residents of important items in the neighborhood, such as increased break-ins, traffic detours or meetings. It can also perform traffic studies that can be submitted to the LADOT for evaluation.
